There will be a great NFL game this Sunday afternoon when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head out to Glendale to take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Tampa comes in at 1-0 and the Cardinals lost a nail biter to the New England Patriots putting them at an 0-1 start for 2016. Arizona is considered the favorite to win the NFC West and again to make a run deep into the NFC Playoffs. If that is the case, they are going to have to play better than they did just a few nights ago.

Tampa comes into this game as a 6.5 point under dog to the Arizona Cardinals. It appears that even though Tampa looked like the better team on Sunday, the public and the books still have faith in the Cardinals to get back on the right track. The total points are set at 50 combined. Much of the early action is on the Cardinals to cover the touchdown at home. 58% are on Arizona and just 42% on Tampa in this one.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked really good Sunday. They went into the Georgia Dome and took down the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 31-24. The Falcons had chances late to force overtime, but the Bucs defense was able to hold on. Jamies Winston appears to be coming into his own as an NFL QB. Against Atlanta he passed for 281 yards and four touchdowns in the win. His main weapon of choice was Mike Evans who caught five passes for 99 yards and a score. However, running back Doug Martin never could quite get going. He made some important runs late in the game to help run down the clock to make things tougher on Atlanta, but he was only able to gain 62 yards on 18 carries. A lot of this though can be due to the Falcons having a decent run defense, although their pass D and pressuring of the QB hardly even exists. Tampa will need to run the ball this week and run it with success. The Cardinals defense is too good to just let Winston sit in the pocket. He will be pressured, the Cardinals DBs will swarm to receivers, and this will not be easy for Tampa. A balanced attack is a must.

Arizona was nearly a ten point favorite over the Patriots this past week. I was all over New England but I did think the Cardinals would at least be able to win against a Tom Bradyless New England team. The Cardinals did not look bad. They played a good game and with just seconds to go, they had a chance to win on a Chandler Catanzaro 47 yard field goal but it was missed and this led to the Pats taking the knee and getting the 23-21 win. Arizona is fine. It is one loss. The Cardinals just need to do what they do. Play defense. If the defense can make Jamies Winston check down his receivers and make decisions, he CAN and WILL make mistakes. If the Cardinals do this. Game over.

I could see this game going a number of ways. I think Tamps is being undervalued by many people. No, they are not an NFC title contender just yet, but this team can play and are very competitive with pretty much anyone. I think Arizona rights the ship and goes to 1-1, but I have a feeling it will be because Catanzaro redeems himself late and the Cards win a close one at home.
