Monday’s Phillies vs. Diamondbacks provides us with some oddball variables including the Phillies coming off a one-game series vs. the Reds and then having to fly cross country to Arizona the for a game the next day. D-Backs starter Madison Bumgarner has looked like hot garbage as of late, allowing 20 earned runs over his last 22 innings (7.94 ERA). Cubs pitcher Javier Assad gave up no runs in four innings in his first start, but don’t let that fool you! He gave up four hits and had four walks for a fat WHIP of 2.00!
