One of the better Week 2 NCAA football matchups takes place Saturday when the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets travel to Tallahassee to take on the Florida State Seminoles. FSU comes in as -12.5 favorites. To refresh your memory, an ineffective Willie Taggart was relieved of duties and the Noles are now led by Mike Norvell who did a heck of a job with the Memphis Tigers at 12-1 last season. You better believe he’ll be pulling out all the stops to get a “W” in his first ACC game, however, Jay thinks there’s more total than betting the over/under rather than the spread. “Real” college football starts in Week 2 as the Clemson Tigers travel to Truist Field to battle the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in ACC action. Not long ago, star QB Trevor Lawrence was politicking for there to be a 2020 season and it wasn’t looking good, but here we are! Clemson has been installed as -32.5 road favorites, which falls into a 35% ATS win rate. See Jay’s take and if he thinks they can overcome the nastiness of the tricky 32.5 point spread.

Week 2 college football kicks off with Thursday night action as UAB travels to Miami Gardens to take on the Miami Hurricanes. UAB gets a small value-boost here as this is their second game while it’s the first for the Canes. A Conference USA team getting only 14 points vs. a decent ACC squad in a nationally televised/featured game should raise your eyebrows. Alabama Birmingham is a live barking dog here. With a pair of Power 5 conferences out of commission this fall and three others postponing their schedules until the end of September, the Sun Belt and the American take center stage for this non-conference matchup. Dan sees this game as a value bet. Get his pick and analysis here!

It’s not the Monday Night Football we’re all used to, but at this point, we’ll take what we can get! The BYU Cougars roll into Annapolis to take on the Navy Midshipmen, which oddsmakers are predicting a fairly even match as evidenced by the 1.5 point spread. It’s too early in the NCAA season to be betting any serious cash, but Loot gives you his take anyway!

The Big 12 is the only conference playing a true round robin schedule, where each team will play each other this season. Dan takes a look at which schools have the best shot of cashing Big 12 futures bets!

A pair of 14-0’s go at it in college football’s National Championship game at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans Monday as the Clemson Tigers play the LSU Tigers. With the contest being played in Louisiana, this will be somewhat of a home game for Ed Orgeron and Louisiana State. But will that be enough? Dan gives four reasons why he’s betting the Clemson Tigers, who have won 29 games in a row, to win the Championship.

The MAC teams have done fairly well in the bowl games this season and the Redhawks did dominate the conference. ULL though has been impressive losing only one game to a team other than App State and did beat up on Ohio 45-25. Can the Cajuns extend the margin enough to get by the -14 line?

At first glance, a MAC team like the Ohio Bobcats in a bowl game is always potential fade, however, this situation is quite a bit different as the Nevada Wolfpack will be missing defensive coaches and multiple defensive players due to suspension. Nevada was already weak on that side of the ball prior to the suspensions. Ohio’s Frank Solich is a great coach when it comes to preparing for bowl games. He always takes them seriously and “brings it”. The public are hammering Nevada. Don’t get caught up in this trap!
