Week 3 Thursday Night Football presents us with an oddball matchup when the Miami Dolphins head to TIAA Bank Stadium to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. With both teams viewed as league doormats, it’s a bit odd that the NFL chose to feature this game. The bad news is the game may be somewhat uninteresting to most. The good news is we have an opinion on the spread!

Week 2 Thursday Night Football is upon us and we’re blessed (who scheduled this one?) with the battle of Ohio when the Cincinnati Bengals travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns. Both teams come in winless after Baker Mayfield and Co. got smoked by the Ravens and the Bengals had a decent home field showing vs. the Chargers. Get Loot’s take on this battle here!

The Tennessee Titans head back to Nissan Stadium for their home season opener against a Jacksonville Jaguars team that surprised the world by knocking out the Indianapolis Colts last week. With a team only being as good as their last couple games, the Jaguars getting zero respect, this being an in-conference game and a two score spread (+9), we may be in for another barn-burner! The Broncos suffered a tough loss last week after some poor play calling and clock management in the fourth quarter. It could be argued that the Titans should of win by more because of Gostkowski’s kicking miscues, but Denver had their fair share of getting stuffed on the goal line, a penalty that prevented a huge INT and some other enigmas. The Steelers started out slow last week but came storming back in the second half. They return to Heinz Field where Big Ben generally plays better. Get Loot’s Den/Pit pick here!

The extra days off the Chiefs got to enjoy will surely help their game planning as they had more time to do so but will it be enough to cover a massive -8.5 point spread on the road? The Chargers were mediocre last week at Cincinnati. Will they have enough to stay with Patrick Mahomes and his high-flying offense? We may have a live barking dog here!

Sunday features a pair of teams who were expected to do well, but both got their butts handed to them. The Vikings result wasn’t a huge surprise, but the Indianapolis Colts losing to the Jaguars straight up? Unthinkable! Minnesota rolls into Lucas Oil Stadium for a game that has both bettors and bookies perplexed. Get Loot’s take on this confusing Week 2 matchup!

It’s not very often that the “square take” is a winning proposition in NFL football betting, but this week provides us with an exception to the rule. The New York Jets looked like hot garbage last weekend vs. a good Bills team. The Niners didn’t look very good either, but we’re chalking that up to an enigma as they’re not as bad as they played and the Cardinals aren’t as good as they performed. This is a smash spot for the Niners!
