We’re projecting runs galore for tonight’s probable hit-fest at Chase Field as the Padres will send gas can Sean Manaea (14 earned runs allowed over his last 9.1 innings) against Drey Jameson, who will be making his MLB debut Thursday night. Thursday’s abbreviated eight game slate kicks off at 1PM ET with the Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians. It’ll be workhorse Lance Lynn on the mound for the Chisox and Hunter Gaddis on the hill for Cleveland. Gaddis didn’t fare so well in his MLB debut, as he allowed 8 earned runs in only 3.1 innings. The 6’6″ 260 pounder may have been rushed to the Bigs a little quick, as he was in Single-A ball last season. Don’t look now, but the Pittsburgh Pirates are on a heater! The Bucs have cashed in four games in a row and looked impressive yesterday, putting up a 10-spot on the Reds! Wednesday MLB action provides us with a full slate of 15 games, including 6 afternoon affairs, with the most interesting being the Los Angeles Angels vs. the Cleveland Guardians. Halos lefty Patrick Sandoval has only allowed 8 runs in his last 43 innings. Guardians righty Cal Quantrill has only allowed 8 runs in his last 40 innings. This game looks to be low scoring! A much less popular game on Wednesday’s slate offers tremendous wagering value when the Oakland A’s meet up with the Texas Rangers. J.P. Tyler Anderson of the L.A. Dodgers hasn’t been as sharp as he was earlier in the season, but is still doing enough to keep the Dodgers in any game he pitches. Diamondbacks pitcher Ryne Nelson looked amazing in his last start, allowing no earned runs over seven innings, however, with a 5.36 ERA in the minors along with a 1.39 WHIP, there’s no evidence that suggests he’ll have the same result against the heavy hitting lineup of the Dodgers. Reid Detmers has been hit hard as of late, allowin 21 hits over his last 14 innings.
