It’s Tua Time! The rookie QB has a great shot of winning (and covering his first spread!) Sunday when the Dolphins welcome a Rams team that will be off a short week and traveling east, playing an early game. Don’t be fooled by the past. The Dolphins are a good team and are playing good ball as of late. All those first round draft picks are coming to fruition. A Dolphins pick may very well be the Week 8 value bet of the week!
The Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens matchup has been one of the best in the NFL over the past few years. Balt. has held a slight edge since Lamar Jackson became their starter, winning three of the last four in the matchup. The Sportsbooks have installed the Ravens as -3.5 favorites Sunday in what should be Week 8’s most exciting game. Get Loot’s Pit/Bal pick here!
After 7 Weeks of NFL football, the opinion of most wiseguys is the Colts are overrated/overvalued and the Lions are trending in the right direction. A running back doesn’t make a team, however, DeAndre Swift will provide a much needed boost to the Detroit run game as he’s head and shoulders better than any back the Lions have put on the field since the retirement of Barry Sanders! Get Loot’s Indy/Detroit pick to cover the spread here!
It’s not often that we see an NFL point spread this high (-20). It’s even more rare to see a team cover a number this high. Truth be told, KC could DOUBLE this number! A final score of 50-10 is a possibility here!
The Atlanta Falcons blew yet another lead last week, losing on the final play of the game. It’s a tough proposition, as Mike Davis (or CMC) is likely to have a strong showing vs. the Dirty Birds’ weakness, which is stopping the run and stopping pass receiving running backs. Get Loot’s TNF pick here!
Did the Denver Broncos really go into Foxboro and beat the Patriots last week or did we dream that? Their win against the Jets was somewhat unexpected as well. We anticipate them coming back to earth this week against a Chiefs team that looks to be firing on all cylinders. Check out Dan’s KC/Den preview where oddsmakers have installed KC as hefty -9.5 road favorites.
It’s really bizarre to see a team’s first game in Week 8 of the college football season but we’ll take Big Ten college football any way we can get it! The Minnesota Golden Gophers are a live underdog Saturday against the Michigan Wolverines! Get Ted’s full take on the game here!
The Niners looked like hot garbage vs. the Dolphins and then came back and handled the Rams with conviction the next week. It appears that the return of their cornerbacks made a huge difference. With SF being a run team, it’s going to be tough sledding at Foxboro Sunday, as the Pats have a good run stopping unit and you can count on Bill Belichick to scheme against George Kittle as well. Can the Pats rebound off an embarrassing loss to the Broncos? Get Mike’s Den/NE pick here!
I’ve been on the wrong end of a bunch of Washington Football team bets this season, as they aren’t really as bad as they’ve appeared. The defense can put pressure on quarterbacks, and we all saw what happened last week when the Cardinals brought pressure on a Cowboys depleted offensive line and Andy Dalton. They got smoked on their home turf! Unbelievably, the Washington Potatoes look like one of the best bets on the Week 7 NFL card!
